It took us three years to record, engineer and master our debut album<\/strong>. This is what happens when you release your first album \u2013 you need to find your own sound<\/strong> and shape your songs so that they fit together as parts of the same story, while also being stories in their own right. This is a song that was written for a a theatre production that never actually took place. Inspired by genius music of Ennio Morricone and early 60's rock, with lyrics created under influence of Stephen King's Dark Tower. Not Perfect But Real<\/strong> contains eight original songs. Some were written recently, while others have had a long life before being recorded. They all have the same bittersweet taste with a hint of irony.
The sound we chose is a tribute to the early '60s \u2014 a time when rock 'n' roll evolved from dance music. We added unorthodox drums and percussion to a few tracks, as well as double bass and a bow on one occasion.
