Our band formed in one of Islington's tiny, dimly lit bars in the heart of London in 2023. We are a trio (drums, bass, guitars and vocals \u2014 the classic combination) that plays original music spanning multiple genres. We believe that the best songs tell stories. We have stories to tell \u2014 we have all lived long lives. We sing about difficult decisions, mistakes, and feeling like we have no choice. We sing about simple joys and complicated troubles.<\/p>
That is why we blend the most story-telling genres: blues, alt-country and folk<\/strong>. Music is a language, and the music must fit the story. When we add covers to our repertoire, we choose songs that embody this idea.<\/p> Our sound is influenced by artists such as Johnny Cash, Tom Waits, John Lee Hooker and Muddy Waters<\/strong>.<\/p> Vinnie Reck<\/strong> is on drums. He has decades of performing experience and has played many genres. He uses the drums and percussion not only to keep the rhythm, but also to give every song a strong voice. Then there's Lakis Economou<\/strong>, a talented and inventive bassist whose bass lines bring our songs to life. Anton 'Benny' Beneslavskiy<\/strong> is our guitarist, vocalist and songwriter. His life experience as a migrant, firefighter, and blues musician in small clubs fills our songs with sarcasm and lyricism.<\/p> The ingredients may not be new \u2014 some of them are old or even very old \u2014 but it is the mixture that matters in the end.<\/p> The band performs regularly in and around London, and took part in the Broadstairs Blues Bash in both 2025 and 2026. Our debut album, Not Perfect But Real, was released in 2026.
